The logic was born Sir Robert Bryson Hall II in on the 22nd of January 1990, in Rockville, Maryland, the youngest of eight brothers and sisters, born to a black father and a white mother. He spent most of his childhood living in Gaithersburg. Logic wrote his first rap when was he just 6 or 7 years old. At the time he chose for himself the name Skittles, a stage name given to him because Eminem was already taken.

At 13 years old, Logic started to get about hip hop, after meeting Solomon Taylor around this time who soon became his mentor.
